Simply Put. LIFE.

Staring at the blank tiles of the bathroom,
These simple blank slates become my own personal projector screen.
All of the happenings of my days play out.
I contemplate meaning and try and make sense to this point.
For all the living I do in life, nothing really... sticks.
"In one ear and out the other" really takes form.
I always seem to strive for the next best thrill,
But at the rate I burn through my many thrilling adventures,
I'm going to have nothing for the latter part of my life.
It's amazing how living life almost shortens life.
And yet, something intrigues me along this road I'm on,
Hoping and praying that once I hit that point in life,
When adventures are sparse and my body weakens,
I reach the point of self-actualization and life becomes pure...
BLISS.

Holy Guano, batman!

I have been horrible at updating this thing!! Absolutely horrible!
So chronologically I shall address the most recent things first. Saturday night, me and my dear friend McKae were bored after hitting up our friends Paris' super fun party. So what did we do? Naturally, my creativity took wing and we were going to be secret campus ninjas. After midnight, security gets mad if there is anyone on campus that is not en route to the dorms or off campus... technically we met that criteria... Anyway, so we started making our way on to campus around 12:45 AM, starting at the school of education. We then made our way around the school of social work and then on to the stake center. When we were trying to get past the stake center however, we tried to cut across the grass, forgetting that at night it is like marsh... so we had to leave our shoes behind after that point. We dove through bushes, ran behind building (discovering motion sensed flood lights), then we took a potty break, then back to being ninjas. The best part was trying to get across the huge parking lot by our gym which only consists of trees and pavement, we belonged in a cartoon. Security saw us and the truck lit up and so we booked it the rest of the way. BUT THAT WAS NOT THE END! There was a random tractor in the parking lot that we noticed once we got past the outer wall. McKae wanted to go play on it and naturally I was in! But she went to go step over the wall once more and discovered a thorny patch. Me and my naivety said, "ya just gotta jump over it!" and then proceeded to do a pouncing cat move over the wall... into more thorns, landing on all fours. And at that exact moment, two security guards (ON BIKES) rode by and asked, "uh you guys all right?".....yeah.... How is it we managed to avoid security in trucks for an hour, but security on bikes? NO! THey're just sneaky like that.... Epic night of my life.
This photo is me being secret ninja over a wall.

Earlier that day, we had celebrated our friend KallyRae's Birthday by heading to sunset beach. A good day in the sand! And this was the sunset at sunset. :)

A while ago, like September 25th or so, I went to a super fun hot tub party! We got to the "BBQ" part of it and got bored so all of us featured below went to the beach and went night swimming in the ocean! Beautiful!! Then to warm back up we went back to the hot tub and dove in!! The best part about all of this was I walked away with an eye disease! Epic right?! I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with Keratitis from a bacteria in the hot tub water... so I for the last 2 weeks I've had to go without contacts, without eye make-up, without going in water (other than showers), and wearing sun glasses everywhere. Between that and the sinus infection I am also fighting off, Paige and I decided someone's got a voodoo doll of me. Probably one of my old high school teacher! I'm on to you.....

The night before the hot tub party, was another fun party night! We first started the night out at a school dance, but then heard of a party at some guys' house in Hau'ula and we migrated over there... in a very small car.... :)

Sometimes I can be so sexy..... hahaha JK! :)

Shortly after getting over here, I set in motion mission obtain a moped... and succeeded!!! I like it a lot! McKae and I named it Kanake and we have been on many adventures! So useful and a good way for me to clear my mind!! I started my wonderful school year, dove right into work, and things are going well so far! 22 credits, 8 classes, and going strong!!

Before coming back to Hawaii I went to go visit Hailey and her family in Washington! Her kids are getting so big! Kimber is up and walking now and I have missed so much of it because I am so far away! It's sad, but I know their mom is obviously doing a good job! They are darling little squirts! :) I love them dearly!

In August, our town was all up in hububs becaue Extreme Makeover Home Edition came to Pocatello. Paige, Ashley, and I got in on some of the fun! I can tell you straight up, you see some strange people come out of the woodwork once something famous comes to town! I'm not so sure we were always the best represented! haha! But I miss these girls lots!!

My summer was kind of slow and boring. One major thing was that I had an adenotonsillectomy at the beginning of August. I took extra precaution that way I for sure would heal fully and properly! The second week of my healing my parents left to go to Nebraska. I was still not talking and Socks our dog died in their absence. It is very hard to tell over the phone what is happening when you can't talk well and you're in hysterics. It was really sad and I still miss that pup lots. So does our cat.
On that happy note....
Just kidding I wouldn't leave you with such a downer!
My life is awesome! I am so blessed to be in such a beautiful place preparing for a marvelous future, that only God knows fully what is in store! I don't think I could ask for a better life! I am me, what more do I have to say to express how much I enjoy life?!

I have this friend...

So I have this friend named Haley Smith. I love her very muchly, and she is so very awesome! She's beautiful and talented and deserves all the best, including in her circle of friends (naturally that's why I'm there!) just kidding about that last part! But I think she is so incredibly awesome she deserves a post on MY blog saying how fricking AWESOME she is! I have been blessed with having her as a friend and I know she will be there for me if I ever need her to be, come thick or thin, or hail or high water!! I love you Haley (not in a creepy way) and keep smiling cuz everyone is that much more beautiful when they smile!

Way too long without a post!

So it's been forever, but I am updating for my friend Chelsea who said it was about time. :D
So this last little while, I've been spending time with my sister.... her husband.... and her two kids. All adorable. So flights from Pocatello to Salt Lake to Boise to Lewiston and then it was a great week and a half at my sister's house and then they came back here! I had loads of fun playing with the munchkins while their mother worked and their father was at school. It's very cute that my nephew calls my sister bobby instead of mommy. He's pretty cute. My niece is young and can't speak English yet but her baby talk is pretty darn cute! And her face equally as cute!

One great story about being up there, my nephew tends to have nightmares and wakes up periodically. One night while I was with him he woke up screaming about chocolate milk and
giant spoons... it makes me really wonder what little kids have nightmares about!

After we got back to Pocatello the little ones had fun with Nana and Papa Orr and today we went to the zoo to end their visit with us. In the picture above, Tucker (my nephew) was thoroughly fascinated by the donkey and the cows. We had lots of fun, me and him, running around the place.

Oh, and my sister was there too.... she always says there's no pictures of her because she's always the one taking them, but this is us. People say we look alike,.... meh.... maybe.

My niece is adorable, already spoiled. My nephew (above) is a doll..... with a big smile.... and an even bigger attitude. He's getting mouthier lately, and seems to want to disagree with everything... he argued with me forever while we were looking at a picture of a giraffe, he told me it was a camel and wouldn't let me convince him that it was really a giraffe. But I love him nonetheless. I love my family lots!

Oy ve! Where has the time gone!?

So it's been an incredible fast couple of weeks! It seems like time is flying by and it is absolutely crazy! It is sad that my Hawaiian adventures are going to end soon for a good 5 months. 2 weeks from now I am on a plane home to the mainland! But there's so much to accomplish before then! AH!The plays I've been assisting with have sadly and happily come to an end. I am glad I have more time in my life, but I am going to miss all the marvelous theater people that have been involved in these plays. They always take pictures after the plays of important images from the plays and they always try to get me in at least a couple of pictures, so in the picture, I am holding my notorious guns while the two characters around me stay in there characters for the picture! I love these people so much!

Last night we had a ward date night and were all set up on blind dates. My date was from a different country and didn't seem to want to talk much because it was hard to understand him. For table decorations they put a bunch of toys on the tables for us to play with (toy soldiers, slinkies, Chinese finger traps, etc.). Well to avoid awkwardness, I naturally kept myself entertained! I was trying to get people to play toy soldiers with me but nobody wanted to have an epic battle with me except for Brian (featured above) whose soldiers died moments after the war broke out... then i was slinging slinkies across the room because I figured out how to launch them. I'm glad I at least made the bishop and his family laugh.

You'd never guess Lucille Ball was my all time favorite actress and icon right?! ;)

Long time no write....

A great adventure that occurred...Tuesday... was I shot myself in the leg... indirectly. I had the fake gun from work too close to my leg and the powder shot out the side and attached itself to my leg and just kept burning whilst it sat on my leg! It hurt really bad!! I tried to keep it semi-secret but that never works... the person I really didn't want to find out was my boss but the costume lady stood off to the side whilst I was doing set changes waiting to bandage my leg and Bro. Ferre finally was curious and she said, "I'm waiting to bandage her leg... She shot herself!".... It really wasn't THAT bad.... but everyone made it out to be a very big deal! SO yup, grand adventure!

I do believe I have officially decided to stay in Hawaii for my education! I may get homesick sometimes, but I love the environment down here. Once again I will be turning down opportunities at BYU-Provo and BYU-Idaho (to which I got admitted to again) but I really believe that I am going to have a much better experience down here.... but that decision is still subject to change, so we will see if my choice changes again any time soon.

A little tangent from over here!!!! Sometimes, college is no better than high school (drama wise). So a girl in my hallway has been associating with a guy who is bad news in my book, but my opinion obviously doesn't matter. She keeps complaining about him, but at the same time isn't willing to break his heart or something like that... but anyway, this rumor is now circulating about her pretty much being a straight up slut and somehow all if us believe that somehow he was involved. He swears he didn't start it, but I think maybe the whole thing started with him telling someone that he was feeling as if my friend was leading him on and then it probably just snowballed from there.... but I don't know, but all this crap is ridiculous and I can't wait for immaturity to leave with those that aren't coming back next year. I'm going to be teaching high school and I recognize that I will face this drama with my students, I would like to not have to deal with it with people my own age. Just saying...

So that's my life as of late. We open for our play down here this evening, I was informed last night I might have to start the show on my own tonight because the director has to run to town to get his daughter from the airport and if her flight is late then he might not be back in time! So it'll be an adventure tonight if that actually occurs. I think that's all for now.

Just another manic.... weekend...

So I didn't write anything for yesterday so I am combining it with today!
So yesterday I slept til like noon and it was amazing!!!!! Then me and my friend Allison went shopping and I got some awesomely cute clothes!! Love it!! I worked... as usual... sometimes I think I'm a work-a-holic.... I feel so useless with this play because, with The Music Man, I was constantly doing something.... but this one I just sit backstage and occasionally shoot my gun and the beginning of the first act but other than that I got nothing to do... but we did have fun backstage during the run through playing with the old-style corsets.... I told Anthony to go out on stage in it but everyone is afraid of Brother Ferre.... If it were me I'd do it anyway.... He's not much scarier than Bosen was whenever I did something like that.... good times.... but yeah we had fun backstage! =) He told me not to put it on Facebook... well this ain't Facebook now is it!?

After work, me and my friend Haley finally watched Confessions of a Shopaholic. She's been bugging me for ages! It was a good movie and I must say that my favorite line from that was "I was once stalked....... by a dog." Hahaha!!! great part!!

Today was a good Sunday, rather uneventful, but I think that's how Sundays usually are... We had stake conference. Awesome! General session in the morning and then the "adult session" in the afternoon... kind of redundant to say that because it's a stake composed of single adults... we are all adults and don't have kids... but it's all good! In the middle of the morning session I noticed my phone was ringing because it was glowing...I looked down to see it was my mother. SO my first thought was something had to be wrong because I thought she should still be at church. I let it go but then noticed there was a voicemail so I ever-so-discretely called my voicemail... expecting something wrong, this is actually what it was about...

"Hi, just had to share that I just got home from church and your cat brought me a live mouse. Luckily she dropped it on the deck before she walked in the house with it and it ran away. So I thought that was pretty impressive she caught one! Bye!"

yeah... try I couldn't help myself as I started laughing in the middle of conference. Yes, my mother called to tell me my cat finally caught a live mouse. haha! I love my mom!! So that was pretty much my day!!
